Effective communication plan ensures that all members are aware of the plan, its importance and how they might be impacted. While those involved in the planning effort may be well aware of what is going on, those outside the team are often uninformed and uninvolved. Funding for information campaigns should not be seen as an obstacle but as a tool to promote and properly exploit the action. After all, to achieve success, strategic plans rely on the activities of many people in the organization, not just the planning team. The effectiveness of external project communication strongly depends on the right choice of communication channels. This project employs a diversity of tools to ensure that each target group is reached through the right choice of media and communication message. In summary, the communication tools that are used fall into five major groups:
1. Online tools.
• Project website
• Social media
2. Printed materials.
• Promotional materials (project leaflets, poster, banner, pens, notepads, folders)
3. Public events.
• Local events
• Transnational events
• Training sessions
4. Entries & media publications
• Press releases
• Publications to local and national media
• Newsletters
5. Information & awareness raising campaign
